Make-up is one of the things that make us happy every day. I love testing new products and playing with different colors, and I bet you also have a special sparkle in your eyes when you enter a make-up store. It’s fun, interesting, simple and it makes us look good, so why not love it?
On the other hand, there are days when our make-up does not look like we want it to. When you wear Hijab, you have to pay a special attention to some make-up elements if you want to get a flawless look. These are some rules that you should consider if you wear Hijab:
- Contouring can be too much. Contouring can change the shape of your face and the way you look, and this is indeed very tempting, especially when you go to a special event. On the other hand, if you contour your face and then you put your Hijab you will notice that some part of your face can be too obvious, even if you applied concealer or bronzer before. If you don’t want to give up contour completely, try to apply it after you’ve put on your Hijab. In this way, you will know exactly what you have to do.
- Your lipstick needs to match your Hijab. It sounds strange, right? But it’s real. The color of your Hijab needs to be matching with the color of your lipstick, otherwise your entire look will be destroyed. Try to avoid to put on your lips the same color you have on your Hijab; just go for different shades.
- A colorful Hijab means simple make-up. Just try and picture this: you have a green Hijab, purple eyeshadow, blue eyeliner, pink blush and red lips. For sure it does not look great! When you wear a hijab you have to remember that no matter how many colors you use for your make-up, there will be another color next to your face. If you wear a scarf with a special pattern keep your make-up as simple as possible.
- Your eyebrows make the difference. Surprisingly or not, you can put make-up on your eyebrows even if you don’t usually pluck them. You just have to learn a few techniques that will help you contour your face by filling in your eyebrows. Here’s a trick: always use a smudge-proof gel for your eyebrows instead of your normal pencil. In this way even if you arrange your Hijab during the day, your eyebrows will not be destroyed.
