Giving your best to stay fit? Here are some tips that will help you stay in shape effortlessly.
Diet
Don’t have huge meals. Eat more often, four to five times per day and choose an equilibrated diet. Your food should contain all the essential nutrients you body needs, such as proteins, low fat ingredients, carbohydrates and others. Avoid frying and give preference to boiled or steamed meat and fish, seasoned with herbs and extra virgin olive oil. Consume fruits and vegetables of different colors, for each color indicates the presence of different vitamins. And have fun exploring recipes from different cultures: you will learn many new ways to cook healthy and tasty meals!
Natural Sweets
If you have a sudden craving for something sweet, grab an apple or a banana. If late in the evening you get caught up in desire for chocolate, eat tangerines instead! They are rich in bromaline, which has muscle-relaxing properties, and they will make you sleep better.
Physical Activity
Walk whenever it’s possible and try to spend as much time as you can outside. Fresh air and movement will give positive energy and keep you from being lazy at home.
Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
When you are at home, do at least 15 minutes of exercises at any moment during the day. They won’t make you burn fat, but they will make you feel that you did something good for your body, which will further motivate you to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay in shape.
Even when you are sitting in a chair or on the couch, you can do your glute and stomach exercises. It’s easy: just squeeze your glutes as tight as you can, hold the squeeze for 10 seconds and release. Repeat as many times as you can. The same goes for stomach exercises: contract your abdominal muscles, hold the contraction for 10 seconds, release and repeat.
And dance! Put your favorite music on and move, swing, jump and hop around the house, as wild as you can! You will burn fat and boost your mood and energy levels, while having lots of fun.
Sleep
Make sure that you always get a good night’s sleep. Even during the rest, your body burns calories. But if you sleep less, your metabolic rate will slow down and you will lose less body fat during the day.
Herbal Teas
If you overeat at dinner or drink some more wine than usual, detox your body the day after with herbal teas and fresh salads and fruits.
Grocery Shopping
Never go shopping with an empty stomach. Being hungry will make buy a lot of unhealthy and unnecessary foods and you’ll end up spending more.
New Cloths and Body Oils
Buy yourself a couple of new dresses. The way you look in them will make you feel satisfied and prompt you to take more care of your body and stay in shape.
Find some nice, naturally perfumed skin toning oils. Their relaxing or energizing fragrance will improve your mood and sense of well-being, while their toning and firming properties will restore your skin’s elasticity.
